The Southeastern Conference is fining LSU $250,000 after fans trashed the field during Saturday's home game against Alabama.
SEC officials announced the fine on Monday.
The SEC also says LSU must make every effort to identify everybody involved and ban them from attending any LSU Athletics events for the rest of the current academic and athletic year.
Fans threw trash on the field in the third quarter to protest a facemasking penalty.
