The candidates in the runoff for East Baton Rouge Parish mayor-president will participate in a debate on local TV next week.
Democratic incumbent Sharon Weston Broome will face off against her Republican challenger Sid Edwards. Broome and Edwards were the top two vote-getters of the eight candidates in the primary election.
The debate will air next Tuesday, November 19 from 6 to 7 p.m. It will also be live-streamed online.
Early voting starts on November 22. The runoff is scheduled for December 7.
