After three years of renovations costing $35 million, new features and exhibits have been unveiled at the Baton Rouge Zoo

The updates include eleven renovated exhibits, seven new exhibits, and eleven new buildings.

Visitors will now enter through Greenwood Community Park, with the previous Thomas Rd. entrance closed

The renovations aim to create a more immersive experience by grouping animals by geographical region rather than species.

New animals include Yellowstone Bison and pygmy hippos, with further development phases planned for the future.
