Some AT&T employees in Denham Springs are joining thousands of others who are on strike across the southeastern states.
On Monday morning, about a dozen picketers hit the local street, joining a protest against what they call the company's unfair labor practices during negotiations for a new union contract.
The Communications Workers of America filed an unfair labor practice charge against AT&T with the National Labor Relations Board.
Some 300 workers are reportedly on strike in the greater Baton Rouge area.
