A major Republican donor is putting forth proposed changes to Louisiana's constitution.
Lane Grigsby e-mailed a draft the of proposal prior to Monday's meeting of the Baton Rouge Press Club.
Addressing the meeting, Grigsby said the main idea is to take policy out of the constitution.
Many state legislators agree, saying local matters often end up in the constitution that should be in statute law.
Secretary of State Nancy Landry says constitutional revisions need to be on her desk by August 23 in order to be on the November ballot.
