A middle-schooler from Baton Rouge is the big winner in a state spelling bee.
Rishaan Reddy won the Louisiana Learning Institute's 2024 Spelling Bee on Saturday, taking home the $10,000 prize.
Organizers said 15 students from across Louisiana participated on Saturday after winning their regional tournaments earlier this month.
Reddy is a student at Glasgow Middle School.
