Tourism officials are reporting that this year's Jazz Fest was a huge success.

The weather cooperated, and headliners like the Rolling Stones brought in record crowds to the Fair Grounds infield.

As a result, 97 percent of the city's hotel rooms were occupied by the nearly half-a-million people who attended.

After the event was over, many visitors stuck around and hit the French Quarter shops.

Officials are still counting up the economic benefit, but last year it was an estimated $400 million.
