The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services says the state will participate in the Summer EBT program this year after all.
The program, also known as SUN Bucks, helps low-income families with school-aged kids to buy groceries during the summer months when schools are closed. Each eligible child will receive $120 for the summer.
Most eligible families will receive SUN Bucks automatically, but some parents will need to apply.
