Baton Rouge firefighters were needed at an abandoned school on Thursday.
Officials said a fire broke out at the site of Glen Oaks Middle School, which hasn't operated in several years.
The fire department says the building on Monarch Avenue was vacant at the time of the blaze, and the cause is under investigation.
