Early voting for the 2023 Louisiana primary begins today.
The election will determine the Republican and Democratic candidates for governor in November, but four proposed amendments to the Louisiana Constitution are also on the ballot.
Among them are questions on who can help fund elections in the state and whether the governor is allowed to close places of worship during an emergency.
Early voting hours are between 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. now through October 7, except on Sunday, October 1.
The primary is scheduled a week later on October 14.
