The second highest ranking member of the Louisiana House of Representatives says he's not running for reelection this fall.
Republican Tanner Magee has represented District 53 in Houma for eight years, including service as the House Speaker pro-tem.
The 42-year-old representative tweeted on Wednesday that he's proud of his accomplishments with transportation and infrastructure, but he's tired of the partisan politics and outside interest groups.
Tanner says he and his wife Kristen have 14-year-old triplets to keep them busy.
