Louisiana State Police are investigating a deadly traffic accident in Livingston Parish on Tuesday night.
Troopers responded around 8 p.m. to the scene on State Highway 441 just north of I-12. Three people were reportedly ejected from a VW Beetle that ran off the road and hit a tree.
One of the occupants, 22-year-old James Ard, died at the scene. The other two were hospitalized in serious condition.
Investigators don't yet know what caused the car to leave the roadway or who was doing the driving.
