Officials are identifying human remains found in East Feliciana Parish last month as those of a missing Baton Rouge man.
The bones were found near River Road on June 30.
On Monday, the sheriff's office announced that the LSU FACES Lab had identified the remains as 27-year-old Devante Petties.
Deputies say Petties was reported missing in April, but hadn't been seen since last summer.
His cause and manner of death haven't yet been determined.
