The current superintendent of the East Baton Rouge Public School System is one of three finalists for a similar position in Florida.
Members of the Broward County School Board selected Sito Narcisse during a meeting on Tuesday. The other two finalists are Peter Licata and Luis Solano.
At least a dozen applicants were interested in the position.
Two days of candidate interviews for the finalists are scheduled to start on June 14.
