An attempted murder suspect is in critical condition after a standoff with Baton Rouge police on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers found 27-year-old Cameron Shorter at around 1:30 p.m. at a strip mall on Sherwood Forest near Florida Boulevard.
After a three-hour standoff, Shorter reportedly got out of his car with a gun.
Baton Rouge Police Special Response Team officers fired at Shorter and wounded him.
Shorter is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
