A political analyst says Republican Attorney General Jeff Landry will have to choose his words carefully in his campaign for governor.
Bernie Pinsonat says social issues coming from Washington, D.C. are dividing Louisiana voters more than anything else and Landry has been speaking out about them more than his GOP opponents.
But Pinsonat points out that large numbers of Louisiana residents are on Medicaid and other government programs, so running an anti-government campaign could be risky.
The Democrats are waiting for a candidate.
