Officials are reporting the recovery of the body of a boater who went missing nine days ago on Lake Pontchartrain.
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office said the body of 44-year-old Billy Coile of Mandeville was found on Monday afternoon about three-quarters of a mile offshore near Green Point.
Coile disappeared while on a solo fishing trip on January 7. His borrowed boat was found unoccupied the next day under the Causeway Bridge.
The parish coroner's office will determine Coile's cause and manner of death.
