Tulane head coach Willie Fritz is staying in town to lead the Green Wave.
The university announced Fritz's decision on Tuesday after several days of reports that Georgia Tech was offering Fritz their head coaching job.
Fritz preempted the school's official announcement by stating earlier in the day that he plans to stay put.
