The Baton Rouge Zoo is offering free admission to veterans and active military members this Saturday.
In addition, up to five guests will be allowed into the zoo for free.
A spokeswoman said zoo management wants to honor military personnel and their families.
A valid military ID must be presented at the gate to get free admission.
The Baton Rouge Zoo is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A new bobcat exhibit will also open at the zoo on Saturday.
