Ten of Louisiana's most violent juvenile offenders are now temporarily housed in the state prison in Angola.
The Office of Juvenile Justice transferred the juvenile inmates from the troubled Bridge City Center for Youth early Tuesday morning.
The transfer was prompted by several recent riots and escapes at the Bridge City lockup that had nearby residents living in fear.
The violent youths are now in the old death row building that once housed female inmates at the state penitentiary.
