Denham Springs Author Writes Children's Book About First Haircut

A Denham Springs children's author has a new book about what it's like when a child gets that first haircut.

Kimberly Pattison has cut children's hair in Denham Springs for 35 years, and she says it's often not easy for anybody.

It can be an emotional moment for parents because it means their kid is no longer a baby, and children often find it a scary experience, like a trip to the doctor or the dentist.

Pattison's book is about a little boy named Carson, who has a dog named Cooper, and his first time under the clippers.
