Trial is being delayed for a former Livingston Parish Sheriff's deputy accused of child porn and sex crimes.
A judge agreed to hold off proceedings until next January after Dennis Perkins's attorney said he has to rebuild his case.
Perkins's lawyer says he had to have his hard drive wiped because state prosecutors accidentally sent him child pornography for him to review.
Perkins was originally arrested in 2019.
