American Idol winner Laine Hardy is being accused of secretly recording an ex-girlfriend multiple times earlier this year.
A Louisiana State University police warrant says Hardy put the device in the victim's dorm room in February.
It was discovered earlier this month and given to police.
Hardy turned himself Friday on wiretapping accusations.
He's promised to help police with their investigation.
