The AAA Weekend Gas Watch says the statewide average gas price in Louisiana is $3.85 a gallon for regular unleaded, down two cents from a week ago and $1.25 more than a year ago.
The national average is $4.16.
Gasoline supply and demand are both slightly down, but fluctuating crude prices are pushing up the price of gas.
The average price at the pump in New Orleans is $3.92. In Baton Rouge, it's $3.82.
