Thousands of Baton Rouge residents will receive pandemic-related rental assistance, now that more federal money has arrived.
The mayor's office opened the program last March, and doled out about $43 million to about 8,000 people before the money ran out.
About 5,000 people who had already been approved for assistance were left on a waiting list.
