Residents of Hoo Shoo Too Road in East Baton Rouge are resisting a new subdivision proposed for their area.
The Woodhill Subdivision would place nearly 200 homes on 40 acres of land.
Neighbors say the project would cause problems with traffic, drainage, and rezoning.
As of Wednesday, more than 250 people have signed an online petition opposing the subdivision.
Councilman Dwight Hudson says Hoo Shoo Too Road is substandard.
The area flooded heavily in 2016.
