Denham Springs Elementary School is now housed in a new two-story building that replaces the one damaged in the 2016 flood.
Classes resumed on Monday in Livingston Parish for the first time this semester.
The new 80,000 sq. ft. school is on North Range Avenue.
As classes get under way, Superintendent Joe Murphy says pandemic precautions are still in effect, including the district's optional mask policy.
