A third Mississippi River bridge could be open in Baton Rouge by 2027.
At their meeting on Tuesday, the Baton Rouge Area Chamber looked over the latest list of possible locations for the new bridge, which has been reduced to 17.
The state legislature already approved funding for the project in its most recent session.
Construction could be done within five years.
With public input, the list of 17 sites is expected to be down to three by next summer.
