East Baton Rouge Mayor-President Sharon Broome says there are no plans for the parish to adopt a proof of vaccine policy.
Broome spoke yesterday after officials in New Orleans said they would require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to enter most buildings
Broome said she is not planning a vaccine mandate but still is encouraging residents to get vaccinated.
Health authorities say only around 41% of the population of East Baton Rouge Parish is currently vaccinated.
