Police say a man killed his grandmother and wounded four others, including his mother, on Sunday morning in Baton Rouge.
According to reports, Aaron Morgan killed Dianne Gafford and wounded his mother before injuring Debbie Tullous, her daughter Rachel, and one other in a carjacking.
Morgan was later shot by deputies and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome released a statement praising first responders and good Samaritans while asking for prayers for the victims.
