Mayor-President Sharon Broome says debris removal related to Hurricane Delta will begin next week.
Broome announced yesterday that the City-Parish's removal contractor would start operations on October 19 so damage assessment teams can continue surveying the areas impacted by the storm.
Residents will not need to contact the city about debris removal and can place their bags curbside 4 ft. from mailboxes, hydrants, or above-ground utilities.
Debris cannot be collected from state highways or in the city limits of Baker, Zachary, and Central.
