Officials in Livingston and Ascension parishes say waterways are now re-opened to recreational boat traffic.
According to reports, the waterways were opened mid-day Sunday after being closed last week as a precaution from tidal surge caused by Tropical Storm Beta.
Ascension Parish President Clint Cointment said the waterways were inspected for debris, but boaters should still use caution and report any obstructions they may come across.
