Governor John Bel Edwards has endorsed incumbent Sharon Weston Broome in Baton Rouge's upcoming mayoral election.
The governor made the announcement during a joint press conference Wednesday.
This upcoming election, Mayor Broome is up against Councilman Matt Watson, State Rep. C. Denise Marcelle, and businessman Jordan Piazza, among others.
The election is scheduled for November 3.
