The Trader Joe's parking lot shooter is now in custody five days after shooting and killing a panhandler.
Jace Boyd, 24, was arrested on a count of second-degree murder, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.
On Saturday, Boyd acknowledged the shooting of Danny Buckley, but officers let him go to further investigate the situation.
Now, attorneys for Buckley's family are convinced the act was a hate crime.
