LSU Student Charged After Leaving Unusual Letter At President's Home

An LSU student with ties to campus political groups is behind bars after leaving an strange letter in the mailbox of the house belonging to Interim LSU President Tom Galligan.

David John Walters was arrested Tuesday for leaving the letter that detectives labeled threatening in nature.

According to the arrest report, Walters complained Galligan did not do enough to make the "student experience" a priority and suggested LSU should be operating in "crisis mode."

Officials say Walters has a concerning history of cyberstalking, criminal mischief and complaints of drug violations but adds that there is no need for public concern.
