The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank is hosting a free food distribution event this weekend to help families facing food shortages due to the coronavirus.
The event will be held Saturday at 9301 Cortana Place in Baton Rouge. Organizers say boxes will be given to up to 1,500 families beginning at 9 a.m.
Participants are required to wear face masks in order to receive food.
