The surge in COVID-19 is putting a strain on hospitals across the state.
Our Lady Of the Lake says its running out of staff to take care of patients. In the past week, the facility has admitted more COVID patients on a daily basis than at any other time during the pandemic.
Officials are saying they need additional staff to help keep up with the increase in hospitalization cases.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Catherine O'Neal said the hospital is full of everyone who needs care and they are severely struggling with the resources they do have right now.
