The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating the death of an elderly man.
Officials say 78-year-old Gussie Trahan was injured while trying to stop a suspect who was allegedly burglarizing a home in the 2600 block of Bogan Walk back in December of 2016.
Trahan was hospitalized and died from his injuries last week.
Anyone with any information about this crime is asked to call the BRPD's Violent Crimes Unit or Crime Stoppers.
