Tropical Storm Christobal slowed a bit in its approach towards a Louisiana landfall Sunday.
The National Hurricane Center in its 1 p.m. advisory said Christobal's forward motion was north at 5 miles per hour. Maximum winds remained at 50 miles per hour and further strengthening is not expected with the storm close to landfall.
The center of Christobal was located 30 miles south of Grand Isle and 90 miles south of New Orleans.
