Baton Rouge General is loosening its visitation restrictions.
The hospital announced yesterday that they will now allow one visitor per patient with specific guidelines to ensure the continued safety of patients, staff and visitors.
When admitted to the hospital, officials say each patient will provide the name of one essential visitor who will be allowed to visit from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
BRG had a no-visitor policy in place since the end of March, but on May 18th, they started allowing patients undergoing surgery to have one visitor with them for a portion of their stay.
