Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome is joining mayors across the country in recognizing today as a National Day of Mourning and Lament to mark the death of thousands of people who have died from COVID-19.
In a statement last week, Mayor Broome invited residents to join her and the Interfaith Federation of Greater Baton Rouge as they lament, mourn, and honor the 100,000 lives taken by the coronavirus.
