The Baton Rouge Union of Police is putting up a billboard and calling for pay raises.
The union put up a huge billboard on I-10 at Perkins Road that reads "How much more must we give till we get fair pay."
A spokesperson for the BRUP said they hope the billboard catches attention as the police feel like they've been putting their lives on the line especially since the COVID-19 outbreak began.
The mayor's office and Baton Rouge Police Chief Murphy Paul have both responded by releasing statements saying that they were working on a pay plan but were sidetracked by the coronavirus pandemic.
