Lawsuit Against LSU In Frat Pledge Death Advances

A federal appeals court is now saying parents can pursue claims against LSU after their son died.

The parents of Max Gruver, who died in a hazing ritual two-and-a-half years ago, are finally able to pursue claims against the university.

LSU tried to claim sovereign immunity to nullify the lawsuit.

But, the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans ruled that because LSU accepts federal funding, they waived their immunity rights.
