Police are naming the officer who was killed in the line of duty on Sunday.
Family identified the fallen officer yesterday as Sgt. Glenn Dale Hutto, Jr.
The family says they will not hold a public funeral for Hutto but will instead host a procession today from the coroner's office on Harding Boulevard near the Baton Rouge Airport to Rabenhorst Funeral Home on Government Street in downtown Baton Rouge starting at 1 p.m.
People can line up along Government Street to honor the fallen officer, while keeping social distancing in mind.
Hutto spent 21 years with the Baton Rouge Police Department and 24 years total in law enforcement before he was gunned down over the weekend.
