A pregnant woman expecting twins and her seven-year-old son are dead following a tragic traffic accident on Monday in St. John the Baptist Parish.
Officials say Tyandra Lewis was driving eastbound yesterday morning on I-10 near Belle Terre Road when her car suddenly stopped and was struck by a large pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup was not hurt, but Lewis and her son suffered fatal injuries in the accident while her passenger, Clarence Muse, and a three-year-old boy were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Louisiana State Police say the crash is under investigation.
