A local star is up for the running to win American Idol.
Jovin Webb received the stamp of approval from all three judges last night on the star search show and is now headed to the Hollywood stage of the competition.
The Baton Rouge native said after losing his mother a few years ago and his father just last week, he aims to make people feel good with his voice.
