A local organization is taking steps to fight the nation's opioid crisis.
On Monday, Capital Area Human Services announced that they will be using a re-purposed ambulance to visit Baton Rouge areas where opioid use is most prevalent.
According to reports, the redesigned truck will be manned by a team of recovery experts ready to dole out information on addiction and recovery as well as other helpful services.
