City officials say the funeral services for former Metro Councilwoman Lorri Burgess will be held Saturday.
According to reports, the services will begin at 11 a.m. at the Oasis Christian Church located on 4524 East Brookstown Drive.
Burgess served on the Metro Council from 1997 to 2007 and was the first black woman to serve as mayor pro tem.
The 56-year-old passed away January 15th after her long battle with cancer.
