An LSU senior is dead following a car crash that happened early Sunday near Drusilla.
Officials say they responded to a call about a crash involving a city firetruck and two other vehicles around 2 a.m.
According to police, Shayna Olivia Wilcox was driving on the westbound I-12 when she struck both a firetruck and a Volvo that was involved in a different accident.
Investigators believe that after the initial impact, Wilcox lost control and struck the Volvo semi-truck. The 22-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are working to discover the cause of the crash as the investigation continues.
