A Port Allen community activist is dead after being gunned down following a city council meeting.
Officials say Larry Profit was found shot to death yesterday on Avenue A around 8 a.m.
Witnesses say Profit was as seen at a city council meeting last night, where he spoke out about violent crime in the area.
Police say no motive or suspects are known at this time.
